BUY YOUR USBC MEMBERSHIP CARD ONLINE AT BOWL.com

*NEW* Starting August 1, 2025, bowlers can purchase local membership online at BOWL.com. Make sure you select the correct Association.

Using your old card as a guide, be sure to enter your existing USBC membership ID #, select your local USBC association and purchase your card with a credit card. Please be aware that if you are already a member and don’t enter your existing membership card number, it will issue you a new number. The local association office will then have to manually merge your memberships together so that all of your averages will show with one ID #. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE YOUR CARD ONLINE. DOUBLE CHECK that your membership was processed by looking up your information here on bowl.com.  Remember… all membership expires JULY 31. Summer leagues and tournaments extending past Aug 1 may use 2024-25 membership until OCT. 1.  YOUTH MEMBERSHIP can be purchased online at BOWL.com, but local membership dues still need to be collected. It is easier if youth membership is purchased through the youth leagues.

IMPORTANT RULES:

  • Only a DRY TOWEL or Shammy is allowed to clean a bowling ball once USBC certified competition has begun (league or tournament).
  • If only fingers are used, the thumb hole must be plugged and an “X” marked for the palm position.
  • Youth must be aged 17 prior to the start of the season for their last year of youth eligibility.
  • Youth turning 18 during their last season of competition must complete SafeSport online at SafeSport.org.
  • The minimum age to join Adult Leagues is 18

FOR LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS:

  • Only certified league ending averages should be input for BOWL.com book averages NOT January 1 or May 31. Averages entered with these incorrect dates may jeopardize someone with their tournament entering average and get disqualified.
  • All summer leagues MUST end by OCTOBER 1 and averages input into BOWL.com. Summer leagues that end after October 1, can continue as normal, but must re-certify on the back end as a new winter league. When the league ends, summer pinfall must be extracted and then winter averages entered.  SEE HANDOUT FOR MORE INFORMATION.
  • Those associations entering youth averages. Please copy and paste the parent’s email address in the youth’s email field.

OUT OF SPECIFICATION. If it is found that a bowling ball is or is suspected of being out of specification, the bowler must be told by the tournament or league official to remove the ball from competition until it can be measured. If the ball is not removed or the bowler had prior knowledge of such, games are subject to forfeiture or disqualification. If the bowler had no prior knowledge, the games would not be subject to forfeiture, but the ball would not be able to be used until it meets specifications.

How is this rule enforceable and what is the penalty for those who don’t comply? Once it is discovered that a bowler is using equipment which is not within specifications, the ball must be removed from competition and corrected before it can be used during certified competition. If the bowler uses a ball that is non-conforming with knowledge that it is out of specification, the scores are subject to forfeiture.

LEGAL BOWLING BALLS:

Please review the list of USBC non-conforming bowling balls to avoid league forfeitures or being disqualified in tournaments. Click here for list…
